Dick Riley reported seeing a Mississippi Kite at Peach Hill Park in Poughkeepsie on 9.23.2014 while birding there with Al Orcutt. They were watching some other birds (Northern Flicker, Blue Jay) in the top of a tree around 9:45 when a larger bird landed in the tree and perched for about two minutes before flying off again (it did not go after the other birds). Dick said it was all gray on the back with a light gray breast. The bird was seen about 2/3 of the way up the hill, around the center of the park.
