Common Gallinule – Sharon Station – Harlem Valley Rail Trail
Adrienne Popko reported today (10.1.2014) that she had found Common Gallinules yesterday while walking on the Hudson Valley Rail Trail in Amenia. Barbara Mansell and Liz Martens reported seeing one adult and one immature Common Gallinule today around 8:30am at the same location, between the two Sharon Station Road crossings. Carena Pooth went to the same location this afternoon and observed 2 adults and 2 immatures between 2:45 and 3:10pm on 10/1/14.
UPDATE: 10.2. 2014 Adrienne Popko reported the Common Gallinule were still being seen. Two adults and three juveniles were seen late morning by Chet Vincent, Deb Kral, Maha Katnani and Frank Margiotta.
