Adrienne Popko, Dick Ryley and Maha Katnani report a Cackling Goose seen at 11 am today 11/5 at “The Fly” on Rt 82, Pine Plains.   “The Fly” is a wetland/pond north of Pine Plains .  The goose was seen 1.3 miles 0n Rt 82 north of Rt 199 past the Cedar Ridge Farm barns on the left (west) side of the road.  The bird was easily viewed with hundreds of Canadas on the northern edge of the marsh, close to the only big tree  per Adrienne  There are also GW Teal and a few Northern Pintails there

The Cackling Goose was not found later in the day.
