Date: Palm Warbler - April Coming Attractions
Watch for the return of Broad-winged Hawk, Chimney Swift, Eastern Kingbird, most swallows, House Wren, Gray Catbird, Chipping Sparrow, Baltimore Oriole, Green Heron and early warblers, such as the Palm Warbler.
Continue to look for migrating geese and ducks. Osprey start to migrate through, and late in the month sandpipers start to migrate.
American Tree Sparrow leaves for the North.
Sharp-shinned Hawk, Cooper’s Hawk, woodpeckers, Eastern Bluebird, Great Blue Herons and American Robin start to build nests, Peregrine Falcons nest on Hudson River bridges.
