A Tricolored Heron foraging alongside the Crugar Island Causeway (Tivoli Bay WMA) was found on 4.21.19 by Susan Rogers, Kate Shaughnessy, Barbara Mansell and Liz Martens. Also later seen by Deb Tracy-Kral, David Chernak and Matthew Rymkiewicz.

This heron is considered an “accidental vagrant” in our area, and this is only the 3rd Dutchess Co. sighting.
