Saturday and Sunday, August 19-20, Guided Bird Walks by RTWBC at Winnikee Nature Preserve

 

Saturday and Sunday, August 19-20, Guided Bird Walks by RTWBC at Winnikee Nature Preserve, 8:00 – 10:00am both days.

These two walks are part of the Winnikee Land Trust Invasive Species BioBlitz. This two-day, all day, event will include the location and identification of invasive plant species, guided hikes, training from ecological experts from across our region, learning how to use the iNaturalist app, live animal demonstrations, and presentations of winged (raptors), rooted, slithering, web-footed, and hard-shelled friends!  Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm; Sunday 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Meet at the tent in the parking lot off Route 9 adjacent to the former Pete’s Famous Diner and behind the Hyde Park Florist (4204 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park). Preserve address is 3 Van Dam Road, Hyde Park.
