Field Trips

Field trips are held most Wednesdays and some weekends. Dress for the weather and bring lunch and beverage. All walks are open to the public free of charge. Inclement weather cancels walk. See cancellations.com for last-minute changes.

Field Trip starting times change throughout the year. In general, 8:30am for the month of April, 8:00am for May, 7:30am for June, July and August, 8:00am for September, 8:30am for October, and 9:00am for November through March. Also check this website or the newsletter for occasional changes.

Wednesday, February 21, Harlem Valley Rail Trail – Coleman Station Road  Off Rt. 22/44 north of Amenia. Meet at parking lot at 9:00am.

Sunday, February 25, Connecticut Duck Tour  Leader: Adrienne Popko. Call 845-264-2015 for time and meeting place.

Wednesday, February 28, Stony Kill Farm   Rt.9D, Wappingers Falls. Meet at the Manor House parking lot at 9:00am.

Tuesday, March 20, Woodcock Watch at Cary IES   Leader: Mike Fargione. Weather permitting, meet at the Gifford House, Rt.44, Millbrook at 7:00pm. Call Barbara Michelin at 845-242-2301 if you plan to attend.

Wednesday, March 21, Dutchess Rail Trail – Hopewell Junction   Meet at Train Depot parking lot, Rt. 376, Hopewell Jct. at 9:00am.

Wednesday, March 28, Tymor Forest   Meet at the barns (off CR-21/Bruzgul Rd.) at 9:00am. Hot dog roast after walk (optional); bring your own.
