Highlights:
Looking at the history data as compared to this year's results
provides some interesting information; 11 species with new
high counts some are encouraging and some not.:
Canada Goose 1015/914
Wood Duck 89/78
Green Heron 22/21
Red Tailed Hawk 73/61
Barred Owl 14/13
Pileated Woodpecker 30/26
Bank Swallow 504/432
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 81/74
Chipping Sparrow 243/226
Northern Cardinal 259/219
Baltimore Oriole 299/290
Some values may not differ by much; but keep in mind that
this is a comparison to the data since the year 1959.
The Least Bittern first since 1986, the Black Terns were
the first since 1971, the Yellow-billed Cuckoo highest since
1964, Louisiana Waterthrush 2nd highest since 1959.
A low count was recorded for Cedar Waxwings since 1977.
Common Yellowthroat was the least since 1985. This year there
was no Kentucky Warbler at Vassar Farm.
