Thank-You's
from Camp Colby

Dear Waterman Bird Club,

Thank you for sending me to Camp Colby.  I will tell you what I did there and what it was like.

The first day I got to Camp Colby I set my stuff up and then went to dinner.  At. dinner you sing a song before you eat.  Then I went to the campfire to learn the rules at Camp Colby.  Next, we went to our cabins and got in bed.   Then the counselor that lived in that cabin for the summer told us a story.

The rest of the week I went on a ten mile canoe ride, went fishing, camped in a tent overnight and made several friends.  Everyday we played games before dinner.  We played dodge ball and some games they made up.  We also had a fire each night and sang songs.

The last day we played a game.  I thought the game was fun.  It was a game the counselors had made up and we all laughed.

I appreciate your group sending me to Camp Colby.

Sincerely,
Cory Brady

And from his parents:

Dear Waterman Bird Club,

Ed and I would like to express our appreciation to your group for being Corey’s sponsor to Camp Colby.  We were impressed by the facility.  The counselors were welcoming and eager to make the kids feel comfortable.  The cabin Corey was assigned to was freshly painted and the beds looked new.  The week’s program was organized and provided Corey with many opportunities to have fun and interact with other campers.

When we arrived to pick Corey up at the end of the week, he was obviously tired and glad to be going home, but he had smiles for many of the counselors and fellow campers.  Corey loves to be outdoors and stay active.  This experience was “right up his alley.”

Your interest in providing for today’s youth is wonderful!

Sincerely,
Ed and Sheila Brady
