Hello. This month, rather than give you conservation information,
we are asking that you supply us with info. As the conservation
co-chairs, we are interested in gathering information from
our members to get an idea, first, of what types of birders
are in the club: are you a novice or a seasoned veteran? Second,
we want to know how people use their property to assist the
birds. Third, we want to know how our members feel about conservation
issues. We will compile the results and publish them in a later
issue, so please get your surveys back to us quickly -- our
cut-off date will be May 20. From this survey, we hope to see
what we should address in future issues, for instance, helping
members identify native plant species, which are much more
beneficial than exotics.
